Vosa & Reciepts?
I sent my SVA application off this week with some pictures of the build and I've received a letter called 'SVA Amateur Built
Declaration'
Its asking for the receipts for the major items used during the build. Is this normal, I thought DVLA would want the receipts? Do I need to send the
V5 from the donor??

it seems to vary but you apparently are not the first to be asked for this - do a search - maybe it is a new trend?.
All I did was fill out the SVA form.

I had to show the reciepts at the SVA, but didn't have to send them before. Just showed the donor V5 and the receipt from MK for the chassis
kit

I received that request yesterday, it seems reasonable to me as you only have to send copies of receipts and photos. You don't need to send the
V5 off.

that i dont have many receipts for all my major parts, im lacking ones for bodywork(gts!!) shocks and carbon fibre, and few others, also bought most
parts from ebay and other places like stoneleigh. i have emailed gts but im still waiting a reply! (like usual)

You will wait months for a receipt from GTS, but when you do receive it, the quality of the receipt you receive from GTS will be top notch!!!
Sorry - couldnt resist!!

I had the same problem, only a few receipts for minor components new coil, plugs etc.
However I did have a number of photos of the car being built.
I copied pictures onto three sheets in "word" and enclosed these along with a letter stating that I did not realise when I started my
build that i would have to provide receipts.
VOSA contacted me regarding the max RPM I had put on the forms but made no mention of the lack of receipts and put my details forward.
I now have an SVA date for the end of May, could have had next week but unfortunately this was no good.
