MX5-based Cobra???

Anyone else think this does need an SVA? It looks like a lot more than just taking off the outer panels...

Looks like he's taken the body off a Sumo or other Cobra replica

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

He doesn't quite say so, but I think the blue chassis is what the Cobra body is from, and the MX5 is being chopped about to put the Cobra body on

Whether it needs an SVA depends on whether the chassis has been substantially altered. That will depend on where the "chassis" is on an MX-5. I think that most (but not all) strength is in the floorpan so if that is unaltered then he may just about get away with it.

I wouldn't like to chance it in the current climate when VOSA seem to be querying everything
