3 for 2 on Flexovit 0.8mm cutting discs

£6.99 for a pack of 5 x 115mm discs, and you get three packs for the price of two at Screwfix.

Really impressed, so much so that I'm using these to cut the chassis pieces instead of my big chop saw. 0.8mm thick - more accurate than a hacksaw and even quicker than a normal hand held cutting disc.

Not as quick at the chop saw, but runnng round all four sides with an engineers square, and the cut is much more precise.

Just by chance I picked some of these up last week to try. I thought they were expensive - but they are excellent when cutting.

25 for £18 at my local welding supply place. Weldwise for those on the IoW. Down opposite the main post office building on the Riverway Estate.

They are good, aren't they - low noise, low heat, and low dust (as far as such things can be)

Are you telling me that you can cut more precisely with a hand held angle grinder than you can with a chop saw? What sort of chop saw are you using?

John

I have a clark one from machine mart - which may be the problem, but I find it difficult to cut to the nearest mm.
