The outside of the rear tyres on my Avon are rubbing on the wheel arches.

Is the ride hieght just too low or do I have wrong offset wheels?

Wheels are OZ Supperlegga 15" 7" wide ET37 with 195 50 tyres.

This has come up recently, a search for bump stops may help you.. Basically if set up as it should be you will not be able to get wheel/arch contact. The spring rates have nothing to do with it (although they might appear to fix this problem you will cause others i.e suspension setup).

If you can you need to move the arch and or think about where the bump stops are (if it's only a small issue many-be adding a thicker bump stop??)..

It maybe that you have the wrong wheel offset hence the contact???

That is fairly normal on the Avon I'm afraid!
Some people have the arches made the right width ( the same as each other!) to stop this.

Mine are fairly well clear with 6x14 ET38 wheels and 185 60 R14 tyres

Thanks all. Fixed the problem now, but raisng the ride hieght by 10mm and removing the return lip from the arches.

I HAVE 35MM OFFSET ON 195/50/15 WHICH DONT CATCH AT ALL!! STRANGE EH?

I had this on mine.
There is nothing wrong with the offset you are using. You will probably find the driver's side is the one rubbing. This is because it is narrower. Fault in the bodywork. Best is to get the wing extended the same as the nearside.

worth pointing out that daxs have this issue too so its not just tiger who cocked this up!
