R1 sump baffle plate - where from?

I've heard a company called Allbikes sell them but cannot find any contact info for them.

Anyone know them or any other companies that do the baffle plate?

I've one fitted in my sump but I know of at least two people who have made their own. Just post a message on the BEC list. Its after all just a piece of ally sheet shaped and cut plus a tulip.

I just got a supplier at work to laser cut one for me.
Bless him - he did 4.
So there should be 3 spares! By early next week I should have fitted no.1 & I'll put pics in the archive, then 1st 3 comers can have one for the princely sum of a fiver to Anthony Nolan or Marie Curie.

You can always ask. I think a few people are running without them.

You could probably make one out of a small aerosol can (you know the little impulse ones the girls have).

This would have to be one that you found that had allready been punctured as you shouldnt puncture them

Cut the squirty end off. Drill a hole in the end thats just big enough to sit on the top shoulder of the PRV and push fitted between the O ring on top of the PRV and the oil return pipe.

Yup, the All Bikes baffle plate didn't score high on the value for money meter. If it does the job, I suppose I can't complain too much, it's never going to be seen anyway so it doesn't have to be perfect.

I would probably recomend against using an aerosol lid unless you know what happens to it with extremely hot oil being sprayed at it. IIRC the tulips aren't ridiculously expensive.

I felt a lot less ripped off for the baffle plate than I did buying the TTS dynojet kit - £100 for 3 sizes of main jet, 4 needles, some epoxy and a few circlips and washers!

Not the plastic lid the alu body of the aerosol.

yeah 2 off M4. BTW gravity is the best way of keeping swarf out of the innards of the engine! Wouldn't fancy doing this job from underneath though - can you not tip the car on its side?

Yeah, I'd second Bob C's comments - trying to do it on your back with oil dripping in your face is the ideal way to mess up the drilling and tapping.

Inspiration re: the tulip for the pressure releif valve return - I've cut the end off a couple of big electrolytic capacitors, I'll see which works best later on tonight. You get a loverrly little aluminium cup about 0.2mm thick. I've found 30 and 35mm diam (having cut my hole 33mm - bugger)

Has been drained of oil when i bought it, so there should not be much oil trying to lubricate my bonce
