The book is a short but excellent guide on how to repair grp bodywork properly, there were a series of four short articles in Practical Classics too (which are referred to on this thread), three of them here: http://www.lionheartsolutions.com/lotus/PracticalClassics_UsingGlassFibre_MilesWilkins_1987_Reduced.pdf

You will need some 80 grit sanding paper discs to go on a pad on your angle grinder. I have found Allscot useful for supplies of grp materials: https://www.allscotltd.co.uk/

I bought a reprint of the Osprey book from ‘Lotus-books’ in Germany which also included Miles Wilkins’ Osprey paint book too. Can’t seem to find a link to the book now on their website.

I am just nervous of actually where to start and not to have to go back over something I've done wrong. Or made worse

I understand the nervousness. Miles Wilkins’ book clearly explains what to do and also what not to do and why. Are you repairing bodywork, if so you have the book you need.

If you want to fabricate parts including aerofoils then Simon McBeath’s book goes well with the Wilkins book: https://www.veloce.co.uk/store/Competition-Car-Composites-p135968718

Please keep posting questions and pics of progress - people on here are happy to advise. Read the book, buy some chopped strand mat, tissue, polyester resin, measuring syringes and mixing pots and wooden stirrers, gelcoat, realise wax, rollers, acetone, 80 grit sanding discs and have a go on a non crucial part that will be hidden. Do not forget gloves, face mask for grinding and eye protection. And when using the sanding wheel use a shallow angle.
