I need to make some attachment that fits onto a bike handle bar, 25 mm dia, that holds a pair of objects which can be adjusted up/down and left/right.
It needs to be light too.
(the object will be a pair of LED lamps)
ideas?
is something like that already available?
For those who don't know what I'm on about, it is the clamp thingy that holds this lamp to the handle bars. It probably has a ball joint so
it can be adjusted.

A gimbal is like a frame, usually two inner circles that allows thing like ships compasses etc to stay upright when a ship rolls, they even have them
on ovens on ships so that pans don't fly around everywhere - is that what you mean??

Don't the lights come with brackets?
All the bike lamps I've had (dozens) rotate the clamp on the bar to adjust up/down and are fixed in the streight ahead position.

no, high power SEOUL white LEDs, help me see when I am going on the mountain bike. like below. In the centre is a high power LED mounted on an
aluminium heatsink. It will fitted with a holder and lkens and be housed in short length of copper pipe.

They look fancy for sure, are they expensive? I need some lights for a big r/c plane but haven't found any LEDs bright enough to look like
realistic landing lights.
I seem to think RS might do similar types of clamps but they probs add RS tax to the prices.
What about a bullet cam clamp (probs cost more than shop bought light sets though).
i guess a locost clamp would be block of ali with 25mm hole through, cut in half and bolted together around the handle bars. Then maybe threaded bar
for the upright and clamp lights to that.

These babies take 1 A current, compare that to 20 mA for little LEDs.
If you ever looked directly at the little LEDs, you know how bright they are; imagine these being approx 50 x.
Think I paid £ 8 but that was a year ago, I bet the price has dropped.
You can buy them unmounted as the heatsink is quite big. For best results you need a special driver - circuit that allows connection to battery
without having a lossy drop resistor (wasted heat).
You can get different type of lenses - these determine the angle of the beam. Thens is 20 mm in diameter; may be too big for your teeny plane.

Have you thought about some rubber strip and a couple of jubilee clips? Might not look that great but will be cheap as chips!
