welding masks
cadebytiger - 20/12/08 at 06:26 PM

My dad is looking to get one of the fancy auto-darken welding masks. I was wondering if anyone had had any experience/ got any recommendations??

Thanks again for your help

For MIG pretty much any will do. For TIG (due to the lower light output) he might need a slightly better one.

I bought the cheapest one I could find off Ebay and it's great.

I bought this one after a review of welding masks in practical classics. It's great:

The cheapest ones off ebay are not as good as the cheapest ones from DIYWELDING on the mig welding forum. I have both.

I went for cheapest on ebay (just under £20 iirc inc postage). Still got it now. It has outlasted three decent angry grinders too
