What happened to offset ring spanners?
mr henderson - 28/2/09 at 02:27 PM

Fortunately I've still got some, but I can't remember when I last saw any in tool shops (not that I go in tool shops, seeing as there aren't any round here).

Do manufacturers think we don't need/want them any more?

It's good to see there are some in the Halfords catalogue, can't remember when I last saw any in the local branch though.

Does anyone agree that although they still exist, they are getting a lot rarer?

No

I bought a set a few months ago and have seen plenty about. There are some jobs that you just can't do without them. Cheap combination spanners flooding the market make them seem rarer than they really are.
