Hi Chaps and Chapesseses -
I'm after a rivnut gun to help attach my panels.
Has anyone got a cheap/reasonably priced gun they'd sell/recommend?
There's a few on FleaBay but are they good enough for the job - they look a but cheap and nasty?!
Many thanks
The one I used was made by Laser, not the most expensive and I did have the smaller (4mmIIRC) mandrel break but it was replaced foc by Laser.
RS (rswww.com) do one thats not bad for about 20 quid, was the cheapest one i found.
HTH
Dan

Rivnut tool
I bought the expensive CBS one, which will do up to M8 steel. The price semed resonable for what it is.
Depends on what kind of rivnuts and sizes you want to set

The DIY one works very well, but sometimes you'll need 3 hands! It's really important to use plenty of grease on the bolt, and don't
expect it to last very long (not important if you're only placing a few rivnuts).
I made one with a ball bearing in it for the bigger rivnuts, but that requires a lathe - cost me about £1 to make.
