compresser drain tap

I picked up a small 6 litre compresser yesterday,all works fine,but the drain tap on the tank has had it. Anyone know were i can get one from.

auto drain or manualmatitic

guess its possible 1/8 or 1/4 in gas tap, if manual, rs, or any pnuematic supplies places will have one quite cheap

bolt with an o ring should do it ideally brass though due to rusting

Sorry I just checked it has already been removed -- the hole looks like standard pipe thread - 1/4 BSP

fit the correct bolt - don';t be tempeted to bodege with something that does not fit and ptfe tape or somat - once you have the tank up to pressue, a loose bolt may shoot out like a bullet!!

You want a drain cock, I need one for mine but I'm too idle to fit it I just use the pliers to tighten the one that's in it to stop it from hissing. There's a compressor shop near us and they have them in brass to the correct rating.
