can anyone recommend the tools that i need to cut holes in carbon fibre sheet, i did my backplate with circular saw cutter but they blunted and nearly melted within minutes!

Jigsaw with tungsten carbide blade (from B&Q), or a hacksaw, or chain drill then hacksaw and file. Also, air cut off tools and mini Dremel discs work well.

Rough cut then Dremel, but wear a mask, carbon fibre dust is horrible, it also makes your hands itch so gloves are a good idea.

Yes, do it outside, wear overalls, gloves and a mask and googles.
Its is really nasty stuff - worse than fibre glass - when it gets all over you.

TBH they must have been pretty cr*ppy holesaws. I've never had a problem going through carbon/epoxy. My favourite weapon of choice for all things cf, grp etc are the diamond jig saw blade and the diamond cut-off wheel for my dremel. Remarkably cheap for how long they last too.
e.g. saw blades HERE

Hole-saw. Things tend to go blunt when they've over-heated. So go slower

PERMAGRIT TOOLS

Anything with CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) or PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) grit in it... Just keep the revs down... overheating will kill the substrate holding the grit in place.
