CO2 / argon mix from Halfords or Machine Mart?? About £9 or so for a bottle but they dont last that long - depends how "little use" they get really

Buy a bottle from Ebay for £35 plus delivery and deposit. No rental charges. Forget the name of the company now, but based in southend i think.

get a pub style gas bottle, tho i only use CO2 & only costs £7 for a bottle swap when empty, & thats a 3ft high slim gas bottle.

cheers folks
i can get co2 free from my local drinking establishment
i dont get on well with it for some reason

ive just got my own welder as im fed up with taking everything to my mates to use his
i would guess a 4ft bottle (cant remember exact size) lasts a year and everyone round here is asking for paperwork but they will do co2 without??

i'll scan the bay and if i get stuck try machine mart etc

thank you (is this the best forum online?)

Adams Gas in Margate (certainly in Kent)
They do rent free bottle of anything. Even by courier, but not terribly cheap.
May be even worth driving down and getting two bottles, one to use and one for use when changing the empty one.

They have a website
http://www.adamsgas.co.uk/Default.aspx

However, NO £80 a year ongoing rental, and its Air Liquide Gas (a mainstream supplier).

CO2 / Argon mix is nicer.
CO2 from Pub / Drinks Supplier works well, and is dirt cheap.

I've used Welders Warehouse for disposable bottles, price is reasonable and delivery always quick http://www.thewelderswarehouse.com/Welding/Welding_Gas.html

Keep thinking about investing in a large bottle, but I've never seen them rent free before now.
