Morning all,
I need some Torx bolts to carry on with an engine strip - can you advise on what's a good range to go for ? Both the male and female connection
types ?
Engine is a 92 Ford Zetec 1.8
thanks
Paul
25-55 is the norm.zetec is 55, for the haed bolts .you rarely need 60s and 70's.up to you what drive you buy,3/4 prpb but depends what torque wrench you have.
Excellent thanks.
Machine mart do a set. Not bad, goes up to 55 if i remember corectly, has both male and female.

Halfords do them in their professional range....
Lifetime warrenty etc, dare say probably cheaper than machine mart too!
Will go with Halfords every time, keep your reciept though for the guarantee. They are made by a company called Teng, who make some of the best tools in the world, they even make them for snap on.
i got my set from machine mark, clarke pro set, cost me £19, life time guarentee, and its about a 20 piece set of male and female parts.
halfords for me too. i just tend to buy individually for whatever i need. only needed 2 different female ones and 2 different male ones for my engine
Thanks again everyone - time to start shopping then !!
