Brake lines
AndyGT - 5/10/09 at 09:47 AM

I am rebuilding a Chevette for Fast road use ,maybe competition at a later date, and am in the process of re-doing the brake lines. What size of copper piping is normal for escorts/chevettes and anyone any tips for routing the brake lines in the car? Pros and cons etc.
Thanks in advance
Andy

EDIT: and if anyone knows of good cheap suppliers on t'internet then that would be great...

you use the same size brake pipe as everyone else, Car builder solutions sells the pipe and flaring tools

It'll be 3/16" pipe and I'd advise using Kunifer (copper/nickle alloy) rather than copper.

Thanks everyone!

I couldn't remember the name but Kunifer is what I was looking for. And 3/16" sounds good.
