where can i get hold a decent thread gauge? im after one for both metric and inperial, but i want ones that not only do the standard threads of each size bolt but does the fine and super fine pitches etc?

idea's and recomendations please

Are you after a set or single sizes? Plug or ring?

From my days as calibration technician they normally retail for a round £10 each but can last many years. I had some that were used every hour getting on for 20 years old.

cromwell tools or gtss in cov do both

i have a metric set by starret...they do ok for english and mickey mouse....

these are the thread pitch gauge that i have....

Machinemart sell them, no idea if they are any good, but not expensive.

going on from the OT, does anyone know of any gauges that are thinner in width (compared to the machine mart ones). would want them to measure the threads on the engine for the cradle and think the machine mart ones are too wide to fit inside the holes.
