Just a question but the gas valve in the handle has stopped working i've already replaced this a few years ago and it hasn't had much use. Are these common failures, or can i lubricate it to get it going again or something?

Have a look on the Migwelding forum, they have a section dedicated to SIP.
Not a recommended welder to buy, very unreliable according to other users.

Take the torch apart , it will be the trigger wire connection in the torch.

It will be a quick fix to get you running again but :

If you replace the torch and modify the pressure rollers then they are fine.

I replaced the standard torch with a euro connector and a good quality torch.

sorry it's not electrical it's the gas valve not working properly, the valve is in the handle. The valve just constantly leaks

My Migmate 130 has also started playing up. The gas valve stays open for a few seconds after I release the trigger. Took it apart and cleaned it but it only improved it slightly.

If I could afford to change it I would.

i found a replacement swan neck tube with a gas valve for £21 delivered off Ebay.

Was hoping there was a fix not a replacement option

I had the same thing. First strip clean and lubrication did nothing, second time it did the trick.
