Destroying a bodyshell
Snuggs - 14/4/10 at 04:15 PM

What size angle grinder and type of cutting disc would be most suitable to cut up a bodyshell ?

An axe

I've chopped up several using a six foot straight crowbars - chisel end.
Takes about 3 hrs to reduce a large saloon to 18 inch squares. I cut the top of the window posts first.

Regards
Hugh

I only had a big persuader [sledge hammer] and a hacksaw so it took me a whole 10min to get the front off my donor

but the second time I used an even bigger persuader

I used an axe on an old mini, took about 30 mins, and all the bits went inside my old rover SD1, and down the tip

I kept the SD1 !!!
