Has any-one built a hydraulic lifting bench for motorbikes and are plans downloadable anywhere.
Seen lots at classic bike show last w/e and thought I could make one.

yes I have seen those but I mean the full length ones that lift the bike about three foot.

If it's any help I can do the "Bike it" one for £335 (I think including delivery - would need to check).
Don't know if you've actually looked at how complex they are, what with locking for the front wheel, removeable plate for rear wheel access, safety lock, hinged loading plate etc etc, I would have thought you'd be doing well if you could build anything even vaguely as good inside of a week & by the time you've bought some very substantial steel, some wheels & a substantial jack I'd be surprised if you'd got any change from £150 & you'd still have to paint it!

I have made one. I can send you a couple of pictures but not for a few days as I'm abroad at the moment.

Took less than a day to build and was built from stuff lying about.

EDIT: Doesn't have a wheel clamp, I just use paddock stands or centre stands. It's basically a table about 750mm x 1800mm which raises and lowers hydraulically.

I'm pretty sure there was one in the JTF flyer that came out the other day Denis, along with the TIG welder,about £40 quid. I'll check tomorrow. Pretty sure JTF have a branch near you.

Thanks for the replys fella's , I dont want to buy one as I have a welder and lots of steel so just need some dims to get started.
I have found some plans but they are a bit short on info.
I will set the office teenager on to it tomorrow using the iter thingy and see what he comes up with.
