Was looking for you tube vids about constructing coils when I came across this vid of a guy hacking together a guitar pickup winder.

I couldn't work it out to begin with but then I was expecting it to be more complicated than it was. Essentially he has rigged up a simple cam on the drill spindle which closes some contacts connected to the left mouse button on a mouse. Then he has done 1+1 on windows calculator and every time the spindle closes the contacts the left mouse button clicks equals which repeats the +1. Instant locost event counter, ingenious!
