another one on this from me
got the oyster thing from B&Q, wasn't overly impressed by the height of the bead.
had an idea though... what about 3 or 4 pop rivets equally spaced on the end of each pipe? that would do it wouldn't it?

oh, I should point out that I was able to use my DIY tool with a pair of pliers to put the bead onto a radiator outlet that I shortened so not vice needed.
An oyster soldered onto it has worked fine for me. But yes you could use pop rivets though I wouldn't have though they'd give as much height as an olive!
whats an oyster? can you get them to fit over 35mm pipe?

Yeah, they'll shape quite easily out of their shells, but you might need gaffer tape to hold them on!!!
hmm, all very useful... but whats an oyster?
I'll wait to be shot down, but I've never beaded a pipe yet, and I've not had one blow off yet either, even boost pipes running 30psi............
^ yeah, i was thinking about this, they grip on pretty tight anyway... wouldn't like to find out the wrong way though lol
It will be fine as long as its the correct size, silicone hose onto new, clean tubing
the rad hoses on my locost were never beaded and they've not come off in 3 years and 5000 miles

thats what i've got, however, its 35mm tube, and 35mm hose, so are a nice tight fit over the tube, but one of the hoses is slightly slack on the pipe, only like 0.5mm different
that will be fine, just put it all together, and get it really hot stood on the drive, if its going to blow one off it will do it then
