Did you buy them this supplier?

I buy from Axminster Power Tools and have found their quality excellent.

I can also confirm that circular saw blades I recently bought from Toolstation were also 5h!te. All three knackered in a day when the original one had lasted years.

Bosch Sanding belts may cost £17 for 2 but they last really well, you can run them down too the backing paper and they never snap

Got a belt sander from Aldi for about £9. Came with 2 belts and a spare set for ~£5. Only replaced it after it clogged with fibreglass and teh second one is still going strong used on wood/metal/paint and at varying speeds. Yey for £9 belt sanders!

it is amazing what bargains are out there, but it is a lottery...

on the plus side, my finger sander is a brilliant bit of kit, for not a lot of dosh, can tidy up panels, relieve bush ferrules, write your name when the belts work.

Most silverline stuff is IMHO good but their wet + dry vacuum hoover sucks donkey duck. It's got about as much suction as a dead poodle.

Screwfix have gone to the dogs since B&Q's parent company bought them.

I would normally order about £500 worth of kit from Screwfix but the last 2-3 years they have been getting that bad (kit is cheap rubbish and they sell it in small quantities for lots of money). I now order what I need from other suppliers most of them local.
