Lots advertised on ebay etc, but difficult to know which are the good ones.

I'd prefer the type which has an open side (not the type with a complete ring around the nut) but I suppose that would need to be even stronger. I don't mind paying to get good stuff

ive bought a few and the best one was the one screwfix sell.

if the products cr*p you just take it back and get a refund.

so i use them alot.

toolstation are their competitor so they sell simular stuff but i aint tried any nut splitters from them.

Save your money,yet to have success with anything borrowed from work,where there really is no expense spared.look one where the screw pushes effectively a mastercylinder,(someone will no what I mean)and applies more force,if you really want one,but all types have only ever put hours on a job trying and failing,before resorting to the butchery you would have started with if you didn't have one in your toolkit.just my experience.

I have a set like those ones linked above.
They are OK to have incase of emergency, but not really much good.
The hydraulic ones are better, but usually very expensive.
Whenever I tried to use mine I have found either a nice sharp cold chisel or a dremel and cutting disc work miles better.

Sharp chisel works for me
