I need to find some of the grommet type anti vibration mounts but dont know what the proper name is for them... usually in 2 halves with a metal tube
through the middle.
Anyone know the proper name, or know of a place to get them from? I need ones with a 6mm or 1/4" hole in the middle and some with 3/8"
holes...
Thanks
Dunno what they're called either but most often seen them on bike fairing/cowlings, is this like what you mean?
linky

Sounds a bit like megi bushes might do the job. If you want them threaded you might be looking for well nuts.

Sounds like what you want is similar to a classic Mini top radiator mounting bracket fixings, they used a 1/4"UNF bolt ? Can you not use a standard cable grommett with a crush tube fitted?
Thanks chaps. Given me a few options anyway.
Those are the sort Mel. I could just use grommets with a crush tube, but the mounts I was thinking of were slightly stiffer material.
Poly bush type material?
Not quite that stiff. Just a harder rubber thats all. I need some for various tank mounts on the bike to stop the oil and fuel frothing
David,
Nissan Pulsar has something similar on the intercooler mount (guess how I know). It is basically a rubber grommet with a bolt through it. It mounts
into a hole. Once the bolt is through the grommet it can't get out of the hole.
You could do the same thing. "anti vibration grommet" throws up a couple of hits.

p.s. that inlet plenum lid is a nice chunk of metal. Thanks again for that tip.

Small fuel pump mounts any good?, some have 6mm male threads on each end. Vectra airbox use a similar item
sounds like the top rad mounts on an old Mini. 1/4". Should be available from Minispares.
