Hi all,

Found this the other day, looks like an excellent idea for hobby users, is it reasonable value?

a bit more initially, but refills are about half the price

i find the dispoable ones pretty good. people seem to say they only lsast a few minutes, mine seem to last for years. think they just turn the flow up far too high

I just went back to gassless as unless you are doing a whole chassis most jobs are quick repairs. A £10 reel of Gassless wire will do 2 car sills fully seam welded

Really? I just used a 0.7kg roll of gassy wire doing two large sill patches!

turn your wire speed down!

I would, but if I do I get loads of unpleasant spattering and bird poo weld! (on 40A, 0.9mm metal thickness, about 4.5 wire speed out of 9).

Ebay link looks good but they only do collection, or 20mile radius delivery and they're in Lincolnshire.

Don't have a gasless welder, and disposables aren't enough for a chassis plus other inevitable bits that need welding. Looks like its is ok value then!
