Cleco fasteners
T66 - 2/5/11 at 07:39 PM

I have a set of the pliers in my garage, but no fasteners -

They will get used when I put my floors on the Fiat - and whatever other panelling jobs I use them for.

Is there a general size I should look to buy, ie general purpose sizing which will cover most aspects of what i am likely to encounter.

And roughly how many is a manageable amount - Im thinking around 50 ish...

And finally where best to buy at a good price ?

cheers

I bought a load off ebay ages ago. I use 1/8" rivets mostly so thats what i bought, but also bought around 25 3/16 (4.8mm) cleco's for the heavier duty jobs (like the floor panels - which i used 3/16 large flange rivets on)

CBS/Frost/Ebay do them.
Sizes are indicated by their colour:
3/32 in. (silver)
1/8 in. (copper)
5/32 in. (black)
3/16 in. (brass)

Pliers fit all sizes

As usual CBS are more convenient than cheap.
This place came up last time I saw the question asked, but I've not tried them personally.

Zilspeed used to sell them at times so might know a good source.
