Now this is really a long shot but I am ready (and hoping) to be surprised.
My bro-in-laws boat has nothing standard on it and that includes the generator. It is a Kholer 12.5kw 120/240v with a Perkins 108 driving it. So far
so good about half the bigger boats and RV's in the world have something similar.
However I was surprised to find that it had slip rings and a commutator. Plus it had a bell and 12v transformer built in to the control box. Suspicion
deepened when I could not find the 240v cut off relay.
I think he has a transformer controller generator, a suspicion which is boosted by my inability to find the voltage regulator.
Kohler have yet to reply to my email is there any expertise here I can tap into?
I think it is a special to allow large motor starting - by large I think around 15hp large! I also think the regulation will be on a rising curve and
fairly poo.
We just want it to power the electric showers and the microwave!
Can I modernise it? It is around '72 according to the serial no and all the controls are open frame relays which look unreliable for longer
journeys
Any schematics for a B-268930 controller would be gratefully received as a few hours on google/bing have been fruitless
Cheers!
Any use, probably not? (I do love a google search)

Ah! I had looked at this site earlier and discounted it 'cos the engines were too old however on closer examination there is a circuit that looks
similar. The connection no's and terminals are different but I think it maps.
Ta.
All I need to do now is find out how it works.
Cheers!
