Does any one know where I can get some self adhesive non slip sand paper type stuff like what is on the top skate boards and edges of comercial steps ect? Its for the bottom of my car lift.
At the moment it has some rubber matting that I glued to it but it has stretched and looks crap.
I need 2 pieces 1340 x 350mm any ideas? oh and must be cheap cos Im tight!

I bought some grip tape from ebay, just a few quid.
But for the size you want and it needing to be cheap, then some emulsion paint mixed with sand will cost next to nothing.
We have industrial grip flooring installed at work and its just polyester resin mixed with a carbide grit.

IKEA used to do it and it was much cheaper than anywhere else.

Never thought of the sand on paint idea, Ill do that if I have no joy finding what I want. Only problem is ill have to remove all the old contact glue first. What ever I do it needs to be neat and tidy cos its my home workshop and Im a perfectionist.

you can buy non slip paint and paint it straight on, we used to do it yearly at renault for the lifts,

I used a piece that was left over when my MIL had a wheel chair ramp fitted the first time I used some , so it might be worth checking with your local mobility shop . After stripping and rebuilding the car I brought some from a boat chandlers , available in several colours and about 6" wide .
