Looks interesting. Anyone want to give it a go?
if it really was that easy, we would all build one, and take it for a lathe SVA
I once made my own temporary 'lathe' in the garage, which mainly involved a drill, a vice, some nuts and bolts and a block of wood to rest
my hands on as I held the tools in place.
Just before I turned it on, the wife walked in the garage and told me not to bother turning it on until she'd dialled two 9's into the phone
in anticipation of the results.
Needless to say, it didn't work and I stopped while I still had all my eyes, teeth and fingers in place.
You will need another £93.32 to make the bench to hold the thing on!
Where's the link to the Cement and Concret Association who would sponsor this sort of thing?
I once saw an alternative technology miller / drill where they had cunningly used an old engine block and the precision engineering that had gone into
that to provide the smooth running chuck, you could probably hook it up to your windmill or water wheel but as with lots of these great ideas they
will work eventually, but life , time and space is limited.
