Anodising

I have a set of old dampers that I want to tart up.

They were originally anodised and I fancy getting them treated again in a different colour.

First thing first... is this even possible!? How do they get the old coating off and prepare the surface for the new coating?

And can anyone recommend a company to do the needful?

Cheers!

I've a mate who's getting some stuff redone somewhere, drop me a u2u if i forget. He's very serious about quality, so much so that he's having all his stuff done in one batch as he says when he's had bits done here and there the colour/finish doesn't match properly.

DIY. I have had great results anodising at home. They were small parts so current supply wasnt a problem. Dyed with black printer ink.
For results see here. http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=156650
Caustic soda solution will get rid the old anodised layer, but it will eat the alloy as well is not carefull.
Loads of info on the net about anodising at home and kits are available.
