in an earlier post I inquired about using a tiny o/a torch I had seen advertised.
the response turned me towards the Tinman, which I appreciate.
However, I am still uncertain as to whether this torch is appropriate for the work involved in building a Locost.
The Tinman speaks of building the framework of aircraft, so I suppose the chassis work is covered, but what about attaching suspension brackets to the
axle, or seat belt attachment points, or anywhere something more substantial than the tubing is involved.
Will the tiny torch be up to the job?

Why not use a normal torch if you are gas welding? A No2 tip will weld all your tubing and a No5 will do the 3mm stuff and more. I'd be a bit wary of the heat with an axle as you will get some distortion welding to the back of the tube only
