Just bought a blast cabinet and I must say I love it..
such a satisfying job being able to get into all the nooks and crannies.
if anyone is wanting and thing smallish done in the Northumberland area just drop me a line on here.
Thanks Alan
What make and size etc did you go for? I'm thinking of treating myself. Cheers Sam
The £100 ones on eBay. The Rex ones. I had ago of my mates sealey one which was £169 and it's exactly the same. Great on Ali parts. Bit slow on
steal rust spots but I'm sure with the right media I could get it working quicker
Thanks Alan
Cheers for the info Alan. What size compressor are you running yours on?
Thanks Sam
Hi Alan, Hope all is well at your end. Mk Indy is still a joy to drive.. So you have a blaster.. I've got a Guyson Super 6 and it's great.
To save you time/money it may be worth paint stripping some stuff before blasting. Makes shorter work of it..
Hi fullpint. Glad ur enjoying Indy. I do miss it but I know it's in good hands.
I'll take your advice too, thanks
My compressor is a 50l sealey hunter
2.5hp
Running the blaster at 9bar
I tweaked the cut off switch on the comp a bit when u bought it and I can get it to hold 10bar comfortably and that just about keeps up with the
blasting needs I have
Al
I found 100psi works nicely with al ox and just about anything. What I did find was that making a narrower nozzle to increase the exit velocity did a lot more than increasing the pressure or material change.
