yeah your right but they've been used many times in the past for this and the chrome has all but gone at the grips, but it's a good point

maccmike - 19/10/12 at 12:22 PM

liam.mccaffrey - 19/10/12 at 12:32 PM

Is that one of Heston Blumenthal's recipes?

r1_pete - 19/10/12 at 01:22 PM

How much current are you using, seems way too much, be careful you don't end up with a brittle wheel.....

ashg - 19/10/12 at 02:37 PM

Be careful disposing of the water there may be chromium in it.

omega0684 - 19/10/12 at 04:27 PM

i immediately thought. . . . . CHILLI!

Could well end up that way if you intend just using wet paint/2-pack..

designer - 19/10/12 at 06:01 PM

You should not use 'chromemoly' vise grips as a contact. The chrome, like stainless steel give off a poisonous gas!!

skodaman - 19/10/12 at 07:02 PM

Thought you were doing electrolysis in a pizza for a minute.

The amount of chrome on those will be negligible, are you a HSE inspector by any chance ?

blakep82 - 19/10/12 at 09:49 PM

did anything come back out?
i thought it looked like curry rather than chilli, and i don't like either

jonabonospen - 19/10/12 at 11:56 PM

If only I could fit my parts in the toilet I could just have a curry and make one of those myself

Surell thats only if its used as the anode?, which it isnt here.

Mr Whippy - 22/10/12 at 04:52 PM

for those who are interested in how the wheels come out of that mess! they were encrusted with thick rust front and back but now just bare metal, what fun

fullpint - 22/10/12 at 06:02 PM

If the rust is no more I presume the area where it was is slightly pitted now?
I have used some stuff from Safety-kleen where you soak any thing made of steel and it turns the rust into solid matter!!!

Confused but excited. - 22/10/12 at 06:49 PM

1800cc! That's one powerful charger you got there.
