Size thread for compression tester

Hi, I might be in the wrong section with this question, but I am sure someone will know the answer.

I need to get a compression tester for my 2ltr pinto engine. Does anyone know what size I need please.

Thanx
Mick

Older engines use the larger plug - M18 x 1.5 I think.

18mm tapered seat plugs were a Ford only thing unique to the Pinto and a few US Fords of the same era.
To find other cars with 18mm plugs you have to go back to the 1920s but these were conventional plugs with sealing washers.

Compression testers come with an adaptor for the larger Pinto type plug
The non adaptor end fits other smaller plugs
