did you find the bolt you were looking for ?

a lot of the DIN and ISO spec bolts have smaller heads than our BS ones....

Interestingly I can't seem to put an order through the site - have emailed them directly.

I found the one I want in there (essentially I have an M8 threaded female part and I need it to fit into a hole milled for an M6 head! No-one else seems to do them which is unfortunate!

^^^ is it a cap head bolt you want like this:

coyoteboy - 31/10/13 at 10:16 AM

Yup!

I have a counterbored hole 6mm deep and 11 diam to get an M8 threaded fastener into! (UI can drill out the main shank diam no problem but the counterbore is a different matter)

you need one of these then

(there are cheaper ones btw, thats just the first link I found that size...)

lol, yep and a milling machine to do it on as it'll breach the edge of the part

ok here's another idea:

what about making up a steel spacer on the lathe, ~11mm outside dia. with 8.5mm through hole and ~6mm think

then pop that in the hole and just use a standard M8 bolt (could be a button head if you need a minimal projection)
