Have some lifting gear to offer for sale but i don't have a clue what its worth before putting it on the bay of E etc

Anybody give us a clue ?

Its been in storage, but it still useable and last time out it had a ford sierra dangling from it

As you'd expect it's what someones prepared to pay. But realistically I think the postage is going to be more than the item i'm afraid

Thats some old manual chain block!! Don't make them like that anymore, they were actually made in GB. There are still a few about, but all manual blocks are now imported from the far east!

Curiosity value only i'm afraid. You can get an electric hoist for the same spec from Aldi and Lidl when they offer them every few months for about 40 or 50 quid. Machine Mart will have something in stock all year round for a few quid more. As previously advised, the postage makes the item valueless unless you can find a buyer on your doorstep.

They're worth scrap value as a minimum but not much more. My dad got several sets of 6 year old 750kg Yale chain pulley blocks and couldn't get any bids at £20. He entually stripped them and sold the chains!

just keep it - you never know when you'll need to lift something heavy again

Keep tripping over it in the garage so its gotta go, Have access to a portable engine crane if needed so i'll try the bay and see what happens, If all fails i'll weigh it in
