How can I get a eBay USB borescope to display on an android tablet? It would be much more convenient than using a laptop but does a tablet have enough power in a mini USB to operate the borescope and are there any generic drivers available that would suit?

The tablet needs to have usb host cababilities for a start. Not all of them do though

Ive seen borescopes with wifi, suitable for android, not as cheap as usb versions tho.

You need the software to capture the image, if it didn't come with the camera, do a interweb search for Amcap.

Thanks. I had noticed these on ebay but they are wifi connected rather than usb connected and require an extra battery to power it.

Usually battery powered devices suffer from leaking batteries if not used regularly and the blessed things wont work when you finally really need them hence my aversion to them.

The usb endoscopes are so light and cheap you think it would be worth someones time to develop an app for them.
