Looking for some advice.
I'm making an airbox, the mould looks as below. My question is where would people recommend to sit the mould and into how many sections?
My current thought is one down the middle and then a third section at the round inlet, starting at the baseboard and following the angle of the
inlet.

I think that would be spot on. It is hard to tell from the photos but it looks like you could do the main body of the airbox and the top of the inlet in one, and only have the split in the horizontal plane of the inlet....? How are you closing the airbox moulding and forming the base plate? Are you planning to have that as one piece with the box as that would change my comments above!
Thanks for that. I did consider going top and bottom only but I figured it was a bit more risky and could be tricker to pull the mould. The other
issue is that the baseboard level is not on the centreline of the inlet so not quite sure how I would split it.
For the backplate, I plan to make a flange on the part around the outside and the make an alu backplate. There will be a return under the inlet, up
against the side of the board for the backplate to seal against.
