Whats the best technique for cutting round metal tube? Need to make spacers for the rear of my Avon suspension. Bought the tube and have hacksaw at
the ready... How can I get a get a end square without having to file it true after?
Any suggestions?
Cut it very carefully
Seriously, draw a line where you want to cut it and stick to the line
put a hose clamp around it, then cut next to the clamp.

Make or buy yourself a mitre block,I think there only a few quid from wickes etc, job done.

Wrap a piece of paper around the pipe to mark.
From Ron Champions Build yourself a buggy book.
ps also templates to be cut out in back of book for marking fishmouths.

Spacers for the bushes really should be turned, either that or make them from plate.
BritishTrident's last point is a very good one, if you want to do it DIY style, get a holesaw and steel sheet/plate of the appropriate thickness
and holesaw the spacers out, then drill the holes that the pilot drill left behind out to the right diameter.
Holesaws are great for making special washers!
