Can you believe I dont own one
Loads on ebay, will the relatively cheap Gunsons for £20 do the job ?! anything I should look for when buying anyone recomend one to me ? all of them
use inductance through the HT lead dont they ?
I think that the very cheap ones sometimes need to be in line rather than clamping on to the HT lead so watch out for this - not good!
I waited for a second hand professional one - it was not much more money and well worth it it seems much better put together and should last for
ever!
Cheers

I have one of the Gunson cheapies - works perfectly well but only as an 'old-fashioned' type. In other words, you have to use the timing
marks to judge things.
More modern timing lights allow you to set the required advance, so you only have to line up to the TDC mark.
It's perfectly fine for setting my X-flow, and is the 'clip-over' type that's really easy to use.

Ive got a seally one. cost me about 20 quid. Has tha advance on it and a clip over clamp. works a treat.
