A company i was doing a job for went bust, and they left 15 nitrogen botles and some other stuff in one of my containers, the money they owe me i know
i'll never get back.
BOC said i could swap nitrogen botles for oxygen ones.
the thing is some of the nitrogen botles are full. and my boc agent said i should hold on to them. can i use the nitrogen for anything (I have migs
and a plasma cutter). or shall i just empty the nitrogen in to the atmosphere, and give the botles to my boc guy?

Hi.
Nitrogen is used for plasma cutting, sometimes with added hydrogen (15%).
Gives a cleaner cut than comp air.
Also used to freeze river beds when building bridge foundations.
I believe it's the gas inside a shock adsorber, and the struts that hold up tail gates.
The anti-dive forks on my old Kawasaki Turbo were filled with nitrogen.
Or you can freeze sperm with it, even remove warts. 
The choice is yours.

IIRC it's used in comp car tyres due to it's relatively low coefficient of expansion versus air (tyre temp increase has a less profound
effect on pressure). It's also used to back-purge torpedoes to prevent corrosion in long term storage - probably less use to you than removing
warts. I'd have thought the bottles belong to a lease agent such as BOC, Linde or Cougar.

as 907 said, use it (with a regulator of course!) with your plasma cutter. Just set the pressure at the reg to a similar level to that of the compressed air that you use and use up your nitrogen to give you nice clean cuts for a while!
ZNitrogen is an excellent way of having compressed air for odd job sites.
YOu simply buy a regulator and you can have a fortune of air to power any tools you may have.
They might just buy them from you full.. You never know
