Afternoon all.

I'm just getting round to sleeving the coolant pipes that run down the tunnel of my car (engine at the back, rad at the front). I am using some glass matting faced with thin ally foil, and I intend to wrap the pipes with the ally side facing outwards.

The only thing I am a little wary of doing, is using Evostick contact adhesive to glue the heat matting in place. As the pipes are going to get hot, what are the chances of the contact adhesive holding up?

Has anyone used Evostick in places/applications where it has been subjected to heat, and has it lasted well?

woolies do a high temp adhesive no 376 if this is any help

I've used contact adhesive as shown here (looks and smells like evostick) to stick down the heatmatting inside the pod of my Phoenix. This endures high temperatures from the exhaust and has shown no signs of failing.
