Yet another welder question.
The chap I bought the TIG off chucked a Pickhill Bantam 180 amp oil cooled stick welder and leads etc in with it.
I gather they are available in 415v and 240v forms, and this one was certainly running on 415v (well it has a red 3ph plug on it, as did the tig used
in the same unit and that was internally bridged for 415v)
Any ideas how I can tell what voltage it's set for and is there a way to change it over from one to the other??
Answered my own question, Pickhill still exist!!
Just rang them and the welder is easily swapped over to 240v single phase from 415v twin phase, very helpful folks!!
Anybody want a crappy clarke 150 amp arc welder for a tenner? (it works!)
If the clarke welder works Ok ill have it.
