hi
been trying to hunt the above down for a while now. Can anyone point me in the right direction

You could try Tracy Tools - very well known and respected in the model engineering world.

If you're not planning to tap many holes you can buy carbon steel tools off them - more than good enough for a one-off job.

Their prices tend to be £2 - £4 for a carbon steel tap (for example) + 100% for LH thread, + 100% HSS (if that's what you want). P&P is usually a %age of the order cost. Send a cheque with an order and you'll usually get the item back within 2 days.

One warning - don't pay by credit card! They transfer the entire extra cost of the transaction onto the buyer, so you will pay a high premium! They're so quick with mail orders that it doesn't matter anyway.

I've got them in HSS ISO (2.0mm pitch) at £22ea
