I spent today taking the old engine out and putting the new one in. Come to fit the exhaust to the head and found I'm missing a few studs, 4 to
be precise.
I have no chance of buying any more tomorrow as the Kawa dealer doesn't open on a Sunday.
But I do have 16 spares still attached to my two bust engines. Can I get them out of the head using a "stud extractor"? Will they be usable
afterwards or does it strip the threads off them? Anything to look out for when going to Halfords tomorrow, specific brands or types etc?
It's a Kawasaki if it makes any difference?
Cheers
Mike
Have you tried locking two nuts together on them and getting them out that way?
Doh, thanks guys, don't you hate it when you are thick!
Cheers
Mike
Are they normal thread or reverse?

Cheers guys, all sorted now, exhaust fitted, now just got to motivate myself to get back out into the rain and connect the prop shaft, cooling system,
electrics and carbs back up!
Thanks
Mike
