Got some ramps off ebay and I am trying to get the Tiger up at the back. Even with some rubber mats under them, the ramps just keep moving backwards when I try and go up them. I can get about half-way up before they slide. Do I just need to approach them with a bit more speed or do I need a couple of daring assistants to take the strain?
I had the same problem, I glued a strip of rubber along the base of the ramps, with Evostick, took 5mins and it cured it instantly.
or a block of wood at the back of the ramps- up to the wall or sumthing!!
Another trick is to get a piece of old carpet and stitch it round in a loop around the bottom rung of each ramp. Very locost.
Once the wheel are driven onto the carpet the ramps are stuck and cant move backwards as everythings is attached.

I have drilled two holes at the back on the edge that is on the ground then screwed the to the floor then it will not move.
i welded som grips on the bottom of mine and turned the rear corners down into the ground so they dig in when they start to go. works perfect except on my gravel drive.
Thanks all, two long pieces of wood to the back garage wall has worked a treat - car up, prop off, rear oil seal not moving......
i got my dad and brother to stand behind them..very brave
jack up the car and then push the ramps under the wheels.
Yeah ,
Captain Cunning's tip of the day, we do this with 2 sets of ramps facing inwards so car can't roll, cheaper than a post lift and so much
room under there
