My brother-in-law is looking for a company to rechrome some golf clubs, he doesn't fancy getting into evil chemicals and electrolysis.
Any recommendations for companies who do a good job (not a flash coat that peels off after the first drive) on small batches?
Ideally in the NE, but a good job is more important.
TIA

i would not bother you can buy clubs cheaper than the cost.
it will cost too much you need to get them striped in cyanide before rechromeing .
(im an ex electro plater)
yea, stripping is the arse of the job.
We used chromic acid which is really extremely unpleasant stuff (and those familiar with my cavalier attitude to chemicals will know what that means!)
Thanks for the replies, he's been quoted £30+VAT minimum order which would strip up to 6 clubs by the place in Middlesborough, probably
won't bother to get them rechromed just polished.
He's a rather good player and has a built a good set from ebay 'more money than sense' upgraders, but even so at £50-£100, a club
it's worth getting them sorted rather than replaced.
Aside: an acid that frightens you Nat must be really nasty, IIRC you are the man that suggested hydroflouric acid 'isn't that bad'
