Battery charger

Can anyone recommend one of those long term battery chargers which keep your battery charged over winter?

I have a normal battery charger but obviously can't leave that permanently connected.

Cheers

Optimate III

Has to be the one - they are about £35 and usually fitted on bikes...

come with 2 sets of tails normally, a set of croc clips and a hardwired set so if you want to use it on 2 vehicles you could.

Come up on Fleabay quite often

Cheers

CBS do a smart battery charger that can be left on.

never used it though.

Just to add a bit of diversity, I use an "Intelligent" Draper charger, works fine as far as I can tell

Don't know how good they are, but Halfords do one for £20 that they say can be left permanently connected.

When my car's in the garage it's left connected up to an Accumate. As it's an aged x-flow it's always good to have a fully charged battery on those cold mornings!

I have a Hafrauds one that I have used over 3 years keeping a leisure battery up to charge with no problems.

Ditto. Have had one of these for about 8 years now. First on my bike, now on the Odyssey Redtop in my Fury.
