Our local college used to do night schools but no longer do because they only get funding if its a "proper course".

So no longer can you pay £50 for 10 nights you have to do a City & Guilds or something on a day release basis for about £300.

Nice to know we are getting value for money from the government

I did City and Guilds in both steel Mig and steel Tig at my evening classes (Brooklands College)

Did a 10 week course for each, cost about £100 for each course.

100 quid for 30hrs tuition with a qualification at the end ain't so bad!

As a free bonus I got to build my chassis in their workshop.

Cheers,
James
