Hi Guys

also posted in Mk forum, so sorry about this.

I am planning on going to a classic car show this weekend near Bath as they have some stands there and look at the tool suppliers.
2 questions really,

a. What tools do i need to start building up a supply of, i think i have some of the ones I will need.

b. any good suppliers online or makes to try and go for.. I know I need v.good quality ones.

thanks again for your help

This topic has been covered many times.

Have you tried searching at all?

Buy a set of metric combination spanners and a decent metric socket set. If you break any replace the individual ones with a better quality as you need them. Get imperial spanners from car boot sales as you will not need them so often.

Try and blag a Halfords trade card then buy their professional tools. Not had a problem with them since I bought a set. So much better than just getting odd bits of crap here and there.

Any hows,
decent socket set
breaker bar
If possible some nice ratchet spanners
_Good_ screw drivers, not cheapo shite (There are times when bit sets just don't do the job).
Torque wrench (probably 1 low range one higher range to cover it).
Plus lots of other bits
